Day 1

 

Entebbe - Jinja

 Arrival at Entebbe airport. Your driver will be there waiting for you.

 

We will drive to Jinja for a 3 hour time where the Nile River originates from Lake Victoria for check in and local well-cooked lunch. Then we will take a boat ride with sunset and Cocktails.

 

Later we will have dinner and rest.

Day 2

 

Jinja

Waking up in the morning and rafting, optionally at the springs of the Nile! Another unique experience absolutely safe for everyone! An adventure to tell your loved ones! An activity like no other! For those who dare to do so, photos and videos from their participation will be sent to them electronically!

At noon after enjoying our meal in a traditional restaurant, we will have the opportunity to visit the Orthodox Hierapolis of Jinza! We will be hosted by His Eminence Metropolitan Sylvestro of Southern Uganda. There, after learning about the activities of the Mission, we will have the opportunity to offer gifts to the children of the area.

Return to the hotel, dinner, overnight.

Day 3

Jinja - Kampala

Today we will drive to Kampala for check in and lunch and then take a tour of the city.

 

We will start our tour with a visit to the palace and catacombs of Indi Amin.

 

Then we will visit a group of local artists for a drum circle – team drum play (drums are the heart of African culture). They also manufacture tailor made clothes with the African fabric Kitenge.

 

Return to the hotel for dinner and rest overlooking Lake Victoria.

Day 4

 

Kampala πρός Murchison Falls National Park

Today after breakfast, we will drive to Murchison Falls National Park. We will make a stop at Ziwa Sanctuary, to watch the White Rhino and have lunch. After the activity, drive to the park. The route is very beautiful as we pass through various mountainous areas and plateaus, including the start of the Great East Africa Rift Valley.

 

Later, drive to the hotel.

 

Check in before 7 pm for dinner and rest.

Day 5

 

Murchison Falls National Park

After breakfast early, we start our day with our first Safari. Driving around the park in our open vehicle, there are high chances to see elephants, lions, Haynes, giraffes, Warthogs, Antelopes.

After the safari, we will eat lunch at a hotel inside.

 

We will be transported to the banks of the Nile River for a boat tour of the waterfalls. On our way we will see animals relaxing and enjoying this aquatic paradise.

 

Upon arrival at the waterfalls, we will have a hike to the top of the waterfalls, where our guide will pick us up to take us back to the hotel.

 

An alternative to a boat cruise would be to visit the local community and fishermen on the other side of the river and learn about their lifestyles.

 

This means that we will drive to the top of the waterfalls the next day instead of Hiking.

Day 6

 

Murchison to Kibale National Park.

 

 

After breakfast, we will start our long road trip to Kibale. Today, we will have a full-day drive to the Albertan Escarpment, which is part of the western arm of East Africa's Rift Valley, passing beautiful landscapes, traditional villages, and stunning views of the Moon Mountains. We'll have lunch along the way and then head to Kibale National Park for dinner and relaxation.

Day 7

 

Kibale to Queen Elizabeth National Park

Kibale is the capital of primates with 13 different species living in this ancient jungle.

 

After breakfast we will head to the park entrance to begin the chimpanzee viewing experience. During this walk you will also see many different species of birds and other primates. After taking a community walk and living with the locals, after lunch, we will drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park for rest and dinner.

Day 8

 

Queen Elizabeth National Park

Queen Elizabeth National Park is one of the best places in Uganda to see lions. There are high chances to see elephants, lions, many hippos, crocodiles, buffaloes, and maybe leopards.

 

After breakfast we will do our first Safari in Queen Elizabeth National Park.

 

After the safari, we will have lunch at the hotel and later take a boat tour of the Kazinga Canal.

 

The Kazinga Canal is one of Uganda's major attractions and has the largest concentration of hippos in the world.

 

Later take an afternoon safari and on the way visit the local community on Lake Katwe to experience salt mining techniques.

Day 9

 

Queen Elizabeth at Lake Bunyonyi

 

After breakfast early, we will be taken to the wonderful Bunyonyi Lake for dinner and rest. We will eat lunch along the way.

 

We will walk a 40-minute walk through the twin lakes overlooking Kyambura Gorge and Queen Elizabeth Park.

 

Later arrival at Bunyonyi Lake for relaxation and dinner.

Day 10

 

ΛίμνηBunyonyi

Today, after breakfast, rest in the beautiful and crystal clear lake. We can do optional hiking in the surrounding communities and observe the beautiful lake from above. We can participate in the Zipline and other extreme sport activities that the island we are staying has to offer or just relax and enjoy our swim in the lake.

 

After lunch we will take a local boat ride on the lake and visit a local school.

Later return for dinner and rest

 

Today, alternatively, anyone who wants can do Gorilla Tracking with 800$ extra if available.

Day 11

 

Lake Bunyonyi to Lake Mburo

 

 

After breakfast we will drive to Lake Mburo National Park.

 

We will eat lunch and check in. Later go for an afternoon walking safari until 18.00 and then, optionally continue with the night safari with flashlights, looking for Leopards. (50-50 chances to see them)

 

Lake Mburo is one of the 2 zebra national parks and the only Impala National Park in Uganda. There are no elephants and lions, so walking, cycling or horseback safaris are possible.
